How to decorate your home for fall this 2019 – Part 1
One of our favorite seasons is almost here and we can't keep calm! Even though Autumn is a tiny part in the Indian calendar but it’s surely a reason to doll up your homes and prepare for the winter. The change in weather with the festivities approaching is the perfect time to spruce up your home decor. This September, why not decorate your homes with #houseofekam.
We thought of doing a series of multiple blogs on tips to fall-ify (haha as if that’s a word) your homes. This is Part 1 and we hope you enjoy reading it
- Bring in the orange and browns
- Dress up your tables with brown/orange nature inspired table cloth (hint- Use our fern tea towel set )
- Pair some marigolds/foliage/dried leaves in your table setting

- Bring in the fruits on the table – think pomegranates, grapes, oranges, tangerines with some hot chocolate (okay we went a bit overboard with the hot chocolate) but you get the drift

- How about tinges of orange and brown in your floral wreath? We are thinking a marigold or wheat sticks wreath instead of the regular ones? Bit of Indian and contemporary mixed right there and it can look wonderful. Infact we are going to do one very soon and show you

- Get the PUMPKIN! Fall is all about pumpkins and get some faux wheat too to take it a level above. You can also use the pumpkin as a vase 😊

- COZY IT UP
Fall Décor screams cozy and we are in love. Fluffy pillows, a plush rug, jute baskets filled with some throws and obviously tassles.
- What cozy means to us is getting inside a soft quilt, be away from the world and just slip in the plushness. Wonder why children like tepee tent so much? So why not create a tepee tent for your bed. We aren’t talking about 4 poster (where its quite normal) but just tent your bed with our beautiful curtains and see the difference

- Reading nooks are a definite yes to set the mood for coziness. A small lamp, warm throw, a bottle of water with some soft linens is all you need

- Why should throws be limited to just your living room? Amp up your bathroom with a cute little throw and you’ll be amazed to see the difference. It will be cozy and well aren't bathrooms your favorite hide out?

Writing about all this has made me very lazy and seems like I’ll just slip in my blanket next to my bub.
Wait for Part 2 of this series for more ideas to ready your homes for fall this season
