An age-old craft, brought into the contemporary home.

Rooted in the rich craft traditions of Lucknow, Mukaish is an intricate form of metal embroidery that creates a delicate shimmer through tiny dots, lines and patterns worked into fabric by hand.

Using a fine metallic wire known as badla, artisans painstakingly pierce and secure the wire into the fabric, creating a surface that catches the light without overwhelming it. Once treasured under Mughal and royal patronage, this distinctive craft carries a legacy of understated elegance.

Created in collaboration with our cluster of 30 women artisans in Lucknow, each curtain is a labour of patience and precision. Nearly a full day goes into crafting just one metre of fabric, making every piece a celebration of the time, skill and dedication behind handmade work.

Available in four considered hues — white, pink, rose gold and teal — the collection brings together the delicate glimmer of Mukaish and the contemporary sensibility of House Of Ekam.

With this collection, we bring a traditional embellishment craft beyond occasion wear and into the home, where its quiet luminosity can transform everyday spaces.

The curtains are sold per panel / one piece
All curtains are made-to-order, exclusively for your home! So please allow us 5-7 days to stitch & dispatch your order
We offer curtains in standard lengths for doors & windows - 5 feet, 7 feet, 8 feet & 9 feet. We offer custom lengths as well, please choose the closest standard length and mention the exact length in order notes on the cart page
Width of the curtain depends on the fitting type. Please refer to the size chart for details

We understand getting the measurements is the toughest part of the buying process. For your comfort, we have made an exclusive curtain size calculator to make it easy!
All curtains are made and stitched by hand. Please allow for tolerance of +- 1 inch while making your selection
Although it is always our endeavor to perfect our craft, as the curtains are 100% hand printed, some irregularities like missing prints, light and dark pigmentation, little smudges / stretchmarks are possible. Imperfections remind us of the human element behind the creation, capturing the craftsman's personal style, emotions, and experiences

Care guide

As the curtains are lightweight, caring for them is much easier than traditional curtains. Hanging & removing the curtains is quite convenient
Please hand-wash or dry-clean only. Avoid machine wash
Iron on low heat or delicates setting
Color may fade on exposure to direct sun over extended period of time
