A centuries-old nomadic craft, reimagined by House Of Ekam.

Our Lambani collection is a celebration of embroidery made slowly, patiently and entirely by hand. Each piece comes to life stitch by stitch, with artisans building intricate patterns through hours of meticulous needlework.

Traditionally practiced by the Lambani community, a nomadic community spread across parts of India, Lambani embroidery is a GI registered craft known for its exuberant colours, intricate geometric patterns and distinctive use of mirrors, beads and embellishments. While often grouped alongside other Indian embroideries, Lambani has a visual language of its own-rooted in the nomadic lifestyle and traditions of the community, and distinctly different from the embroidery traditions of Kutch.

Each artwork is composed of individually embroidered patches, with every patch featuring a different stitch, motif and rhythm. Together, they create a vibrant tapestry of colour, texture and craft—where no two elements are quite alike.

Traditionally practiced by the nomadic Lambani community, the craft is known for its bold colours, intricate embroidery and distinctive geometric patterns. Our interpretation brings a contemporary sensibility to this heritage craft, allowing the embroidery and its incredible variety of stitches to take centre stage.
